What do you want done with your body after you die?

Cremation. Not sure where I would like to be scattered, but I really would rather not live in an urn somewhere. That somehow doesn't seem any different than a burial.

Where does this come from?

"But I can't say that, 'cause she found an aardvark!"

2008 = Summer Olympics = AWESOME!

Summer Olympics in China = Serious lack of sleep

I have no idea when I'm going to catch up all this missed sleep. But it's so worth it!

Stuff up for grabs

We have a bunch of random kids stuff which we don't want any more. If you would like any of it, please speak now, or we're taking it all to Savers, or something like that.

Clothes - 18M to 2T, for the most part. A mix of "boys" and "girls" and I ain't separatin' it out.
Rolling giraffe - a little sit and roll type toy. Good for toddlers. Needs some very minor repair
Books - I don't have a clue what we put in this box any more. It's all in decent, but not great shape.
Two practice potties. They can only be used with a full size potty.

We also have the following:
Stardust in comic form (water damaged at the bottom)
Chinese ink painting set with instruction book (never used)

Hopefully someone will want these and we won't have to pitch them...

This kind of logic really really irritates me.

Do you know your vocabulary?

I missed one because I clicked on the wrong answer, and one because I honestly couldn't remember which one I should use. But I feel better about my English vocabulary now.

[info]prehensile_wit, being bored out of her mind right now, has been surfing for things to do. And she found Cake Wrecks, really unfortunate cakes.

This one had me unable to breathe for at least 5 minutes. So...very...wrong....

Just because you put on sunscreen, does not mean you can actually sit out in the sun without problems. Put more on, put on a shirt, you know the drill.

No love,

Your chest and shoulders

Yes, I was stupid. I went swimming with the munchkins and [info]keshwyn and [info]kaifu yesterday. I put on sunscreen. Really, I did. It was SPF 50. It also, apparently, washed off for the most part. *sigh* It's not as bad as it could have been, but it will make wearing clothing interesting. And I have a chiro appt tonight. Yay.

I feel like complete crap today. I went to bed reasonably early, but seem to have acquired the cold Leander had which immediately settled in my lungs. Not that I'm coughing a lot. I just have that tickle in the bottom which says you need to cough, but when you do nothing will happen.

Blehblehblehbleh.

But here I am at work (20 minutes late because my train was delayed) and here I'll likely stay for a while. *sigh* I hope I feel better soon. I really should have acquired some yellow pills before coming in today...

The Owl has an ear infection and is very very unhappy right now. He's not in day care today because he's so miserable, but he'll hopefully get lots of rest today and will be better tomorrow.

*THIS* is why I love this show

girly, I feel pretty
I'm a TV junkie. I admit it. If I'm in the mood the channel surf, I do. I watch crap a lot of the time. But sometimes I don't. Now is one of those times.

My summer program is So You Think You Can Dance. It's kind of American Idol for dancing. And it is AMAZING! These kids are so incredibly talented. They come from everywhere and from all styles and throw themselves on your mercy. And they do so well!!!!

(Please don't talk about last night's show. I haven't watched it yet!)

Here are some highlights from the last couple of seasons. The quality of the videos varies quite a bit.

And the reason I like these: most of these dancers are out of their style.
Benji, Heidi, Anya, Lacey and Pasha are all ballroom dancers.
Travis, Ryan, Neil, Lauren, Sabra, Jaimie and Danny are contemporary dancers.
Sara and Hok are breakdancers/hip-hop dancers.

Mambo: Benji (Season 2 winner) & Heidi
Club Salsa: Benji & Heidi (Skip 0:40 for dancing)
Paso Doble: Heidi & Travis (Season 2 runner-up) (Skip 1:30 for dancing)
Cuban Rumba: Heidi & Ryan (Skip 2:30 for dancing)
Samba: Danny & Lacey (Skip 1:05 for dancing) (Choreographed by Dimitri from Season 2)
Argentine Tango: Danny & Sara (Skip 1:15 for dancing)
West Coast Swing: Sara & Pasha (Skip 3:10 for dancing) (Choreographed by Benji, Season 2 winner)
Jive: Anya & Danny (Skip 2:30 for dancing)
Jazz: Neil & Lauren
Contemporary/Jazz: Neil & Sabra
Contemporary: Jaimie & Hok

There are many many many more excellent clips of other stuff done, but these were ones I remembered. And I will be very happy to watch my shows over the weekend. :)

(And many many many thanks to [info]thastygliax for actually finding all these silly links.)

Mmmm, vegetables....

Mmmmm, stir fry. Needed broccoli, but had peas! And carrots and water chestnuts and bamboos. Yummy yummy yummy! And tofu! Precubed tofu is so happy!!! The only things I had to chop were garlic, carrots and scallions. I needed vegetables. Now I just need to figure out how many points it was. *sigh*

So, yesterday was Day 1 of Day Care. The munchkins were very excited and bouncy, which was nice. [info]thastygliax got a vacation day because the razzafrazzin CORI check *still* hasn't been done. It will be 3 weeks tomorrow. But it was a vacation day. Well, vacation with lots of going out and buying stuff day. I got home with T was out buying shoes and acquiring munchkins, so I got to sit down with my book for a while and eat a snack. I was *HUNGRY*! Then I decided to wash the dishes, so I could actually do some dinner type things. Finished that and started prep for dinner just in time for the rangaging herds to make an appearance. We got them a bit to eat and then T took them outside to play for a while. Then they came in and had baths and bedtime. They were still awake at 9, though, so they were very tired this morning. Heck, *I* was very tired this morning. I have got to get in the habit of sleeping earlier. It's really not worth staying up.

Your Score: Fashion Rebel

46% Flamboyance, 56% Originality, 35% Deliberateness, 54% Sexiness

[Flamboyant Original Random Sexy]

You are the kind of person whose clothes attract attention even if, or especially that, you don't spend hours on picking them. You have probably nothing against eclecticism, as long as it makes you look good. You enjoy funny elements, vivid colors and emit a lot of sex appeal. However, it gets only to those who are not too scared by your outfit. Because, admit it, some people think you could be more moderate in your choices; still, it's more important that you enjoy your style. Good job.

The opposite style from yours is Office Master [Tasteful Conventional Deliberate Prissy].

marriage, happy
I get to see friends today! It's a happy thing. [info]skatedate is up in the area for a photography exhibition. And she is awesome. And I haven't seen her in years. I just wish she could come spend some time and talk for a bit. :} And the incomparable [info]greensmileyface is here doing housing and other research. Which is also happy. Though she will be back this fall. *boingboingboing* I might actually get my bridesmaids all in one room again sometime....
